HCWC’s Hospital Emergency Advocate Response Team, or HEARTeam, provides 24-hour crisis response to Hays and Caldwell County hospitals for survivors of sexual assault and family violence.
HEARTeam advocates (trained volunteers and staff) can provide support for the survivor as well as friends and family. HEARTeam advocates can help explain the evidence collection process, listen to the survivor, or even sit nearby as a silent support.
HEARTeam advocates can also provide information on the effects of abuse as well as offer information on other services HCWC provides to help during the recovery and healing process. If you or someone you know is in need of hospital accompaniment please call 512-396-4357 or 1-800-700-4292.
